See you later, alligator

We’re down to the final hour in our apartment here in DC, with just over 12 hours before our flight west to California, and it is bittersweet like any move, though amazing, uncharacteristically, less stressful than our moves typically are.

That’s largely because of some of our wonderful friends and family who have helped us in so many different ways, from storing bikes, camping gear, and boxes of truly miscellaneous items, to offering a ride to the airport shuttle terminus, from adding winter coats to their luggage to accepting our leftover baking supplies.

I’m excited to go home, and I’m excited to explore Tunisia, but I’m already excited to come back to DC.
